Specifically designed to measure, analyse and record pressure data directly to your PC without the need for costly I/O interface boards, separate power supplies or signal conditioning instrumentation, the transducer is powered by the computer’s USB port through the 2m lead which is supplied as standard, and connected directly to the pressure source though a variety of thread options available to your specification.
Live pressure measurement readouts are then displayed on the screen of your laptop or PC with the use of the FREE ESI-USB downloadable software. Up to 16 pressure inputs can be connected and monitored at the same time. Whether you are looking to perform test and calibration, spot checks or local, direct monitoring, the GD4200-USB is the convenient solution.
The Hardware
Made from a specialist titanium alloy, the USB transducer comes with a variety of thread options and offers excellent chemical compatibility, including use within Hydrogen environments. Capable of measuring up to 5,000 bar in both gauge and absolute pressure reference, what makes the USB truly unique is the use of ESI’s Silicon-on-Sapphire (SOS) sensor technology. SOS combines the insulating and elastic properties of Sapphire to produce a sensor that is durable, and resistive to high overpressures and electromagnetic pulse radiation. This allows the sensor to perform consistently at an accuracy rate of ≤ ±0.15 % of span BFSL across a wide temperature range, making it our most durable and effective sensor on the market.
The Software
The ESI-USB software is easily downloadable from our website using the credentials supplied on purchase. Users may choose between a monitor or graph screen to view pressure data, as well as access configuration details from the calibration screen. Pressure test readings can be downloaded into customized test reports, and users can access features such as leak testing or data markers with ease.
The sample rate allows the user to view pressure data measured with up to 21-bit resolution at selectable speeds up to 1000 Hz, with a range of pressure units and a fully adjustable scale to choose from.
